If you have a skill or interest and are motivated to offer a course in our community education program, please mail, email classes@lakenitelearning.com.au or phone 6205 6665 to speak to the co-ordinator, Dan Fearns, or leave a message and your call will be returned.  Ideas are welcome in each of our program areas:  Arts & Crafts, Recreation & Relaxation, Business & Finance, Recreation & Relaxation, Languages & Expression and Health & Wellbeing.

Lake Nite Learning conducts four programs each year, parallel with school terms and most courses are conducted on the campus of the UC Senior Secondary College Lake Ginninderra which is well equipped to support courses in our wide range of curriculum areas. Teachers or instructors are employed as contractors in each program to deliver courses at times which are convenient for people who live and work in the Canberra region.  Currently, classes are held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings and on weekends.

If you are interested in offering a course you should consider the following:

  • A  course title which is succinct, descriptive and suitable for our print advertising which appears in leaflets which are locally distributed and in an Adult Education supplement in The Chronicle ahead of each program. 
  • A description of the course for publication on this web site in sufficient detail to allow readers to gauge the likelihood that the course will meet their needs.
  • The nature of your potential audience.
  • The likelihood that our normal advertising ( www.lakenitelearning.com.au, leaflets and The Chronicle) will reach your target audience and suggestions for additional approaches if required.
  • A  suitable format (workshop/course/session length/number of sessions).
  • The facilities and resources that are likely to be required.
  • Your ability to deliver a course in a friendly, competent and enthusiastic manner.
  • I am happy to arrange to discuss these and any other matters of interest, included rates of remuneration, if contacted by phone, mail or email.

Existing Courses

If you would like to register your interest in teaching courses which are already in our program please do so.  Although vacancies may not exist in the current program, they may become available in future programs.
