This new one-day workshop is designed to assist absolute beginners and continuing students grow in their caneware restoration abilities. The teachers have had many years professional experience with their own business in Sydney and are sharing their knowledge with anyone interested and willing to participate. This is a unique opportunity to help ensure this specialised skill is not lost in Australia. The course is hands-on, providing time for each student to learn various skills/ techniques required for their project; potential projects may include: recaning bentwood chair seats and backs using the traditional hand-weaving technique, through to commencing various repairs/ replicating and creating custom designs in the time available.
Students will need to bring their own project.

Students will be able to purchase their canning stock needs on the day at regular or discounted commercial rates.
