The financial face of Aged Care has changed a lot in the last three years and many older Australians are still left wondering exactly how it all applies to them.
Whether you have already entered a Residential Aged Care Facility, have a family member who has or are considering doing so, this short course can provide you with answers. We will go through what questions to ask and what you need to know about your chosen path, or even how to get started when considering the options of staying at home, building a granny flat with the kids, or moving to full care.
It will help you understand where to get the information you need and which professionals to call on when you need some extra help. It is all about “lifestyle” and helping you and your family to make your own informed choices. We will cover off on the benefits of keeping or selling the family home, the difference between bonds and RAD’s, the difference between DAP’s and DAC’s and yes, we will supply a Glossary of Terms.
We will also look at the importance of cash-flow, investments and superannuation, insurances as an elder (what is important and why) as well as Estate Planning and when you should seek professional advice to get the best results.
This course will arm you with the confidence to manage your own transition to Aged Care and show you where to find more information and assistance, when you need it. An interactive course, Lisa is happy to answer questions across a broad range of issues and assist you in understanding how the different financial aspects can impact on your life and livelihood in this later stage of life.

She is also very active in the Financial Planning community, sitting on several committees through the Financial Planning Association and is passionate about the development of the Financial Planning Profession.
