Course Description


This introductory course will teach you the basics of North Indian cuisine.  Participants will learn to prepare dishes ranging from starters to mains, desserts and even drinks.  Recipes and grocery lists will be supplied in advance of each lesson.  Furthermore, every student will receive a free set of traditional family recipes at the end of the course.


Note: Please inform the instructor in case you have any allergies, gluten intolerance, etc so that recipes can be modified accordingly.  Meals can also be adapted to be vegan-friendly. Just let the teacher know prior to the first class.


Materials List (you will need to bring to class)


A)  Teacher supplies some essential ingredients/materials.  Each student to contribute $15 (per class) to the teacher directly.


B)  Students may need to also supply other ingredients.  Please contact the teacher for further information.


  • Suitably covered footwear, apron and hair net;
  • Sealable containers; and
  • A notepad and pen/s


About The Teacher


Mrs Mitasha Callaghan comes from Lucknow, the capital city of the northern state of Uttar Pradesh (India's most populous state), famous for its Mughal/Awadhi cuisine.  She has been cooking for family, friends and events for a number of years.
