Course Description


The aim of the course is to provide students with principles and basic practices of Beginner and Intermediate Yoga.  Hatha Yoga is concerned with growth - physical, mental, moral and spiritual.  Beginning with improved health and added physical well-being, it works up slowly through the mental to the spiritual. In class work, students will participate in breath awareness and regulation of the breath (Pranayama), rotation of joints and body stretching (Vinyassa), postures (Asanas), deep relaxation (Yoga Nidra), and meditation (Dhyana).  Prana or energy through the breath is used in all Yoga practices whether still or moving.  Yoga can be practised by all ages and is a science that gives a human being the knowledge of "true" self
