Students will build on their skills developed in earlier courses. They will learn about items of clothing, colours, how to describe what people look like, different foods and meal times as well as festivals in the German-speaking world. Further, more irregular, separable and modal verbs will be introduced along with proper usage of the accusative (objective) case in both its definite and indefinite forms. Use of the formal "Sie" will be practiced whilst word order will continue to be emphasised, including placement of adverbs in a sentence. Listening, speaking, reading and writing skills will all be developed through the use of modern and engaging course materials, multimedia and fun classroom activities. Depending on student preferences, a classic German-language film (with subtitles) might be viewed in the final lesson.
